Recent research published in the Lancet on 3 April 2019, on a systematic analysis for the global burden of disease, concluded that consumption of suboptimal diets had a higher relevance than levels of intake of individual singled out nutrients as a risk factor for non-communicable diseases.
Diets low in fruit and vegetables would be one of the factors to contribute to an increased risk for non-communicable diseases. Such a study could become instrumental in highlighting the role of Fruit juices in a healthy and well-balanced diet, a cornerstone of Public affairs communication.
